Cybersmile, TLC, and TikTok Join Forces to Tackle Cyberbullying

Give a Little PSA with TLC Cast

We have teamed up with TLC and TikTok to launch a campaign to tackle cyberbullying and raise awareness of the potential impact that online abuse can have on the lives of those affected.

Timed to coincide with National Bullying Prevention Month and World Mental Health Day on October 10, the "Give a Little" campaign will feature two powerful PSAs. One highlights Baylen Dupree of the TV series Baylen Out Loud, who has openly shared her experience living with Tourette Syndrome, including the cyberbullying she has encountered. The second PSA features a host of TLC talent who support the Give a Little mission and are rallying around the importance of compassion, inclusion, and respectful dialogue online.

Our renewed partnership with TLC builds on the success of last year's campaign featuring Whitney Way Thore.

TLC's annual initiative, Give A Little, brings together talent, our internal teams at Warner Bros. Discovery, and our audiences around the message of inclusion and spreading kindness. This October the initiative is focused on mental health and the importance of standing up to bullying during National Bullying Prevention Month. We are so thrilled to be working with The Cybersmile Foundation for the second year in a row to amplify this message in every way we can.

This October, TikTok joins the effort, further amplifying the campaign's reach to millions of users, encouraging the TikTok community to unite around a shared message of empathy and acceptance. Together, the campaign will spotlight mental health resources and inspire people to be kinder online.

Users can also visit TikTok's Bullying Prevention Guide for more information on how to identify bullying behavior and the tools available to help create a positive experience on the platform. Through Comment Filters, people can filter out comments containing specific keywords from appearing under their videos. Parents can also turn on Comment Filters for their teens using TikTok's parental controls called Family Pairing, and they can learn more on TikTok's Guardian's Guide.

Everybody at Cybersmile is excited to team up with TLC and TikTok to help people stay safe online. Our collective efforts will encourage people to consider the real-world impact of their words and comments, as well as discover important safety tools available to them.

The campaign also encourages viewers and social media users to participate during the month of October, using #GiveALittleTLC to demonstrate their support and promote kindness online. To help keep people safe, our interactive education resources will be shared across social media throughout the month-long initiative.
