Educating Youth with Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles and Winx Club

Cybersmile Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles education

We are excited to announce a new education initiative designed to educate young girls in Los Angeles around key areas of online safety and digital wellbeing.

As part of a powerful collaboration between Cybersmile, Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, and Rainbow (creators of the global franchise Winx Club), together we will be delivering an exclusive Winx Club-themed curriculum of interactive workshops and activities designed to teach young people the skills needed to stay safe and thrive online.

The workshops, facilitated by our resident experts, will feature interactive educational modules, lesson plans, role-playing scenarios, and Winx Club-themed activities that will build confidence and spark critical conversations among young people and their caregivers. Topics covered will include kindness, empathy, and cyberbullying prevention, to name a few.

Partnering with Winx Club and Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles allows us to teach young people the crucial skills needed to not only stay safe online but also to grow and thrive through the opportunities that technology now offers. We are excited to have a big impact together.

Scott Freeman, CEO, The Cybersmile Foundation

The workshops will form part of a Digital Leadership badge and will be evaluated through questionnaires to measure their impact and identify tangible outcomes. The sessions will empower children to become "digital heroes," echoing the show's themes of courage and teamwork.

Our stories have always encouraged courage, kindness, and confidence. With this collaboration alongside Cybersmile and the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, we're bringing those values to life, inspiring young people to raise their voices, support each other, and spread kindness—creating a digital world where everyone can shine.

This activity builds on our long-standing partnership with Rainbow for the Winx Club–themed awareness campaign "Spread Magic, Not Hate," launched in 2024. The campaign has so far featured a digital social responsibility initiative and educational and kindness activities at New York and London Comic Con, as well as an exclusive co-branded merchandise line, with proceeds supporting our mission to create a safer and more positive digital environment.
