Stop Cyberbullying Day 2023 has arrived, and there has never been a better time to shine a light on the realities of online life, both good and bad.
Last year's event, which marked Stop Cyberbullying Day's 10th anniversary, positively impacted people across five continents, encouraging them to be mindful of their own digital wellbeing when using the internet and social media. Some of the world's leading brands, public figures, governments, and organizations joined forces and demonstrated their commitment to an internet where everybody feels free to learn, communicate, and express themselves without fear.
This year's Stop Cyberbullying Day builds on last year's success with a special lineup of events and activities taking place throughout the day.
The internet is one of the most powerful tools on earth. The growth and evolution of connected media allow a depth of communication and interaction with those closest to us and the wider world at a level unthinkable just a few years ago. Unfortunately, this growth directly equates to an increase in volume and severity of negative incidences too. Today we want to celebrate the internet and the incredible power that it holds when used for good, while reminding people that there is still a long way to go before we achieve our dream of a truly inclusive internet without fear.
