Singer-Songwriter Pink Is Announced As Cybersmiler Of The Month For September
We believe that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a profound impact on peoples lives. If you ever have the chance to do something kind to help somebody feel better, just do it - you will never regret it!
Following on from the great work of Hilary Duff, August’s Cybersmiler of the Month Award winner, it’s time for another deserving celebrity to receive some recognition for enhancing the lives of others.
For September, we are delighted to announce that the highly coveted Cybersmiler of the Month Award goes to none other than the inspirational singer-songwriter; Pink for stopping her live show to help a young teenager with a broken heart.
Leah Murphy is a huge fan of Pink and was planning on going to see the singer-songwriter with her mom on Pink’s ‘Trauma Tour’ in Australia. However, before they had the opportunity to go, Leah’s mom passed away. Instead of deciding not to attend the Pink concert, Leah and her aunt; Katrina Donkin decided to go, equipped with signs created by the teens Aunt.
The signs read: “My name is Leah – I’m 14 years old. I lost my beautiful Mum last month. I would love a hug… Please!”
When Pink noticed the signs, she engaged in a life-changing experience for the young teen. Pink stopped her show, hugged the grieving teen, reassured her that it was going to be alright and signed the young girl’s hand.
Pink’s actions have highlighted the fact that even a small act of kindness is enough to change someone’s entire life. We think that the singer-songwriter has behaved like a true Cybersmiler and totally deserves the much sought after Cybersmiler of the Month Award – congratulations Pink!
