Should Fornite be banned?

Iv'e been reading about calls for Fortnite to be banned because it is harmful to kids. Fortnight is about as harmful as Sponge Bob IMO. Are we going to start banning TV shows, films, art, or music that someone thinks is 'harmful'? I understand that too much of anything can be harmful and internet addiction is a real thing, but games are an essential part of growing up and should be left alone. Thoughts anyone?

Fortnite is cancer. The game is alright but the community is cancerous.

Games themselves are not bad. It depends on the content. Fortnite is not bad, but it is on the brink of becoming bad because of the content. Compare Minecraft and Fortnite - I personally support Minecraft of the two.
Minecraft: You can play with friends, no shooting, simple "dying", no realistic killing
Fortnite: You can play with friends AND complete strangers, game based around shooting, dramatic dying (the point of the game is not to die), and realistic killing

Since GTA there has been a lot of controversy about violence in games and the media have made links between violent incidents/shootings and video games, but these are unfounded. The gov in the US has told media outlets to stop doing it because there is no evidence to suggest that Video Games any more influential than movies, music or art. Ever listen to NWA? Or have you seen SAW?
I saw in interesting article about this from the US in where a study called Violence and Gender, found that video games decrease the likelihood of producing hate material online and researcher Jim Hawdon says "this finding suggests that violent video games may serve as an outlet for aggression, not a precursor."
Internet addiction, or compulsive screen time is a real concern to mental health though, no matter what you are looking at or doing online.
