If there was one sentence you would use to change or protect social media what would it be?

Imagine if you could change social media or make it safer by saying one sentence, what would be it?

You can trust everyone : )

Hi Shamyla my sentence would probably be "Why does everyone have to be mean to eachother why cant evertone be nice because we are all brothers and sisters by one person!!".

Don't be mean behind the screen!

My personal favourite is "Tweet others as you would like to be tweeted".

I really do love all the stuff you came up with... 'There's a real person with real feelings at the other end of the screen, keep that in mind.'

That's right Shamyla ....'Real feelings not cyber feelings!'

A lot of people tend to forget there's a real person with real feelings at the end of the screen, very unfortunate

Sometimes some people forget about me and my life and so I always get left alone

Awws Kitty, we don't forget about you, I enjoy reading your posts and seeing you online here :) & Cybersmileteam it would be lovely if we could trust everyone, unfortunately not everyone has good intentions so we must protect ourselves, especially on the web!

This is a sentence to protect social media and the entire internet "Respect your freedom of speech or we might just lose it!" Hope you understand ; )

Thanks Shamyla, apart from saving lives, making people smile and changing the world, Cybersmile also protects the internet! By encouraging positive behaviour online and helping people understand the consequences of bad netiquette we are giving ourselves a better chance of keeping the Internet free and unrestricted! If digital abuse and cyberbullying continues to grow and people continue driving others to suicide I think governments are going to start restricting/policing the Internet and that would be tragic. That saying 'you don't know what you've got until it's gone' springs to mind!

Just because your behind a screen it doesn't mean you can't be seen!
So make sure everything you share is clean, as it will always be on the internet machine!

Exactly Suzanne. The last thing we need is the powers that be to start censoring the internet. It would be a tragedy for our human rights.

Aww bless ya Kitty, glad you're out of hospital, hope you're feeling okay now?

Sorry for the late reply to you all, haven't been active on here as much... exams! love all the lines you have come up with, it's so positive and a really great reminder to many people who are experiencing Cyberbullying.
