As many of you have now read, Cybersmile has partnered with Intel and have launched an extensive Gaming Support Centre, which we are all very excited about! We are also stoked about how the Twitch community is supporting their gamers. You can read about it here:

www.cybersmile.org/news/twitch-provides-new-career-platform-for-disabled-streamers

Twitch may be new to many of you. But for all you savvy gamers out there that are currently either featuring your own channel on Twitch or enjoy watching others, we would love to know your thoughts about the community.

What has been your experience on Twitch?

Have you witnessed or experienced any cyberbullying behavior in the community and if so, what have you done or would like see done to address it?

Feel free to talk about anything related to the Gaming world in this post!

Twitch has changed the way we game, it's awesome! I think what Cybersmile and Intel are doing is amazing and I think they are already starting to make a difference. I would love to see Twitch get involved with Cybersmile and Intel and all work together.
I'm so excited about the future of gaming with Cybersmile becoming involved, it feels like they are gaming's conscience (in a good way!) Great topic by the way, thanks.

My eldest is a gamer and he is on always hooking up to twitch to watch his favourite streamers play. He has not encountered any problems with the community and it seems to be well managed. I think it would be good if they teamed up with Cybersmile to promote positive gaming because so many young gamers are using twitch now and it would be a perfect space to spread the message!!

Ive heard about Twitch and they are incredibly influential in the gaming world so anything they can do with Cybersmile would help to fight online bullying.

Great post guys, thanks for the input. With gaming becoming more and more popular we are going to be seeing a lot more of Twitch, it's a great platform.

I find Twitch is very variable on bullying/trolling depending what games you're watching/streaming. Games such as LoL or shooters tend to (not always) have a very angry outlook, not only that but I've found their community to be brutal and bully in the chat room and the streamer ignoring it.

Trolls are a high factor especially when you stream, and the key is, as we already know, to just ignore it, block them and it goes away quit quickly. Remember not to 'feed' them and give them reason to stay. From experience I know a lot of trolls are there to just annoy the streamer on purpose because they do just think it's funny. So ignoring is the best melody!

Since you say that Twitch is safe, I'll surely go for it! RuneScape is one of my favorite MMORPGs, and it is on twitch, so I can get more from this game.
