Dr. Jan Breitsohl is an Associate Professor in Digital Marketing at the University of Glasgow, one of the top 100 research universities globally. He specializes in undertaking research into harmful social media content such as hate speech, cyberbullying and trolling, as well as the associated challenges faced by brands and organizations.

Since earning his Ph.D. in 2012, Dr. Breitsohl's research has been published in leading academic journals. He employs both qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the social impact of harmful content and the effectiveness of organizational interventions.

Dr. Breitsohl's mission is to help organizations manage social media communities that foster positive social change and enhance digital wellbeing. As a leading academic in the field, he is uniquely positioned to understand the social and reputational significance of social media for brands. He works with industry partners to make social media a safe space for building positive relationships and facilitating constructive discourse in an increasingly polarized global society.
